![]() NewsInnovation Convention 2011 5-6 December 2011 Geothermal Communities have been selected to be presented at the European Commission's Innovation Convention 2011 event in Brussels between 5-6 December 2011. http://ec.europa.eu/research/innovation-union/ic2011/index_en.cfm Our project was selected from among 450 applications and will be one of the 50 projects on display in the exhibition. It will also feature as the sole representative of the CONCERTO initiative. The GeoCom stand will be located at the Reliable, clean, efficient energy theme of the Research and Innovation Projects section. Site visit in Kocani, Macedonia March 2011 On 27-29 April, 2011 the last project meeting and on-site visit was organised in Kocani bearing the status of an associated city in the GeoCom project. The consortium visited the primary school which is heated by geothermal energy, lighted by solar energy and which has applied energy efficiency measures. The CONCERTO Final Forum held on 6-7 December 2010 in Brussels presented the results that had been drawn from the experiences of the 58 European cities that implemented the CONCERTO concept. The Forum consisted of the following key themes:
International conference on energy efficient renovation in residential building sector June 2010 The conference took place in Budapest from the 28th till 29th of June co-organised by the STACCATO and CONCERTO+. Within STACCATO three European capital cities Amsterdam, Budapest and Sofia, demonstrated sustainable energy concepts in representative existing residential areas.
